I did my research prior to coming to Lawton Public Schools and was very impressed with all the wonderful things I read and saw about Lawton-Fort Sill. This is a phenomenal community to live, work and raise a family. I knew this would be a perfect place to begin my family’s next chapter.
\r\nAlthough I officially assume the responsibilities of superintendent on July 1, I make the trip to Lawton once a week, working and communicating with staff and community members. This is all to successfully transition and prepare for the upcoming school year.\r\n
\r\nOne of the things I want you to know about me is I’m an early riser that likes to read and see what’s going on in my district and the local community, all while enjoying a good cup of coffee or two. LPS has given me a lot of options in that regard. In addition to the district website, mobile app and TV channel (Channel 98 for Fidelity users), we also have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, a district newspaper called the LPS Review, and soon enough our own podcasts. We are also blessed to have two wonderful local media resources with the Lawton Constitution and KSWO.\r\n
\r\nEach of our school sites also has its own social media accounts, website, and mobile apps to help you stay up-to-date with all the latest information. I have the amazing opportunity to share the district’s vision and plans, but I want you to be able to find out everything going on at LPS with the touch of a button. We have an amazing story to tell, and I want everyone to know it. \r\n
\r\nOur district is full of amazing students and supportive, encouraging staff members. To meet the needs of the district's diverse community, LPS is widening its efforts to ensure that you have access to the information you are looking for through whatever method of communication you have available. Below, you will find a link that leads to a communication survey. This will help us to better serve you as well as celebrate the amazing things going on in our district. The survey will close March 13th.\r\n
\r\nI look forward to reading your feedback and working with each and every one of you as we better our children’s educational learning environment. Together, we can continue to invest in LPS through communication, collaboration, and transparency.\r\n
\r\nI am amazed at the great people I have met. Their dedication and love for LPS has been contagious. My commitment is to lead with integrity and to be open, honest, sincere, and trustworthy. I am very excited to learn and work with each of you as we contribute to the future of Lawton Public Schools.\r\n
